Say hey · privacy

Your messages. Your choice.

Qwen runs on your Mac. If you choose another AI service, relevant messages can be sent to that service.

What stays on your Mac

You choose which Messages folder Say hey can read. It organizes your message history on your Mac for search, follow-ups, and people profiles. Your full history is not uploaded, and you do not need a Say hey account.

Qwen answers on your Mac

Qwen 3 4B is the default AI and runs on your Mac with Apple silicon. Your questions and the messages it uses stay on your Mac when you use Qwen.

If you choose ChatGPT

ChatGPT is optional. If you connect it and select it, your question, recent AI conversation, and relevant messages are sent to OpenAI to answer you. An image is sent only after you preview and approve it. Select Qwen to answer on your Mac instead, or disconnect ChatGPT in Settings.

Connecting other AI apps

You can choose to connect another AI app to Say hey. That app can request information from your messages and may send it to its own AI service. Its provider’s privacy terms apply to what it receives. These connections are off until you enable them.

Downloads and product analytics

Downloading Qwen contacts Hugging Face to get the model files, but does not send your messages. Usage analytics are on by default and go to PostHog. They do not include message text, contact names, phone numbers, or email addresses. Turn them off in Settings under Privacy to stop that traffic.

Email updates from this site

Joining the email list is optional. We store the email address you give us, your quiz result, where you signed up, and when you agreed. We use this for Say hey news, tips, and occasional offers. None of it comes from your Messages history.

Your controls

Use Settings in Say hey to turn analytics or outside connections off, and use Reset Say hey to delete its saved message data. This does not delete the originals in Messages. To access or remove an email-list record, contact support@spark.ooo.
